Why is it so hard to find 100% cotton winter wear?

such as winter toques, scarves, mittins, and coats, and even fleece hoodies? it seems like i have no choice but to buy a blend like 60 cotton and 40 polyester, or 5 spandex 95 cotton, or 50 acrilic 20 cotton 30 polyester.
