What are the functions of messenger RNA and transfer RNA?
I am uming you do know what DNA is exactly...so..DNA is trapped in the nucleus of a cell..but does contain all the information it needs to produce different proteins on the rough endoplasmic reticulum, which is outside the cell nucleus, therefore DNA is transcribed into messenger RNA, which travels from the nucleus to the rough ER where it gets 'read' and translated into the amino acid sequence of the individual protein. Single amino acids get delivered to the building protein on the rough ER by transfer RNA molecules and incorporated...hope it helps:)
