Im trying to get light brown hair dye out of my hair dish soap/laundry deter.?

ok so i just died my hair like uhh and hour ago and i want the light brown our cuz it only took on my roots so i heard tht laundry soap or dish soap helps? but i want to know b4 i do it will it damage my hair? if so how much? has anyone else tried this????
