Lingual Frenectomies, do they effect speech?

I'm a teenager right now, and I'd like to have a lingual frenectomy. I can barely stick my tongue out of my mouth right now, and I'd like to change that. I'm a signer too, and I really don't want to take any chances with my voice either though. Anybody thats had the procedure done, can you help me out?
