What is the term "Gentle Breeding" mean?

Gentle breeding means coming from a good family and being brought up to have good manners and high standards of conduct. The best example in TKaM occurs when Scout and Aunt Alexandra, having just heard the news of Tom Robinson's death, return to the living room and serve refreshments to Aunt Alexandra's guests.
