Is MGM a registered trademark?

Does Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer have a copyright on the "MGM" letters? I made a website with my friend and it just so happens that the initials are MGM and I've been using them, but I thought about it and I don't know if I can get in trouble for using it. So do they have a copyright?
